The Top 10 Submissions for the 2019 Red Bull Art of Motion

The 2019 Red Bull Art of Motion online submission has officially closed. That means the judges are now going through the videos and figuring out who to invite. It’s an exciting time, and 8 entries – 4 women and 4 men – will get chosen to compete. One thing we know for sure – the judges are going to have one heck of time deciding!

We have never, EVER seen so much amazing talent in one Red Bull AOM submission. Past Art of Motion champions AND some of the biggest name PKFR athletes in the world submitted – from Jason Paul to Bart van Der Linden to DK and more. Like, literally, how do you compete against those three? And their videos may not even be the top 3!!

We thought we’d write an article and include some of the best submissions from this year. We included our favorite submissions as well as a few unique ones that we felt like sharing. If you don’t believe us about how competitive this process is, watch these. We think you’re going to be blown away. Not to mention, it’ll amp you up for the AOM taking place on October 5th.

The man is a shoe-in in our book. Whether his submission is chosen or not, he’s one of the most consistently powerful+precision movers in the world. AND he won the 2016 AOM comp. Shouldn’t that qualify him for an automatic invite?
Style, flow, and a trick we’ve never seen before. The only think maaaaybe lacking is concrete. But everyone knows Calen can do it there. He placed 4th at the 2016 AOM. Give the man an invite!
Umm we’re kind of confused as to why DK made a submission? Or to say it aonther way, we’re confused as to why Red Bull doesn’t allow him to skip the online submission and just give him an honorary invite! He won in Santorini in 2014 and 2015, AND he took 3rd in 2017 AND he’s a Red Bull athlete. The man has nothing to prove and can compete at the highest level. Case closed.
Noa is on the rise and we’d loooove to see her get an invite. Plus, let’s face it guys – she’s better than you 😛
It’s great to see Didi back even if he’s not at 100%. If he was 100%, there’s no doubt he’d get invited.
Archie is gooooooooood.
Lilou might have been invited to the men’s round had she made this submission for the 2014 AOM.
Power. Power. Power. We want to see Cherepko in the 2019 AOM. He’s unique and we think he’d bring an exciting style to the comp.
We really like sharing things from lesser known athletes, and we really liked Shea’s submission. If Shea doesn’t get invited this year, then we expect to see him there in the future : ) We see big potential in him. But wait…. how do we know his twin isn’t in this? xD
With lines on the rooftops of Pari which makes this one of the most unique submission videos from this year. That’s why we decided to feature it. Yoann has made the podium in 3 AOM, making him one of the top 10 most decorated AOM competitors in history.
In our humble opinion, Sydney has a good chance to win the 2019 AOM for the women’s category. After all, she placed 2nd at the event in 2016, and she just won the 2019 NAPC Style event.
We don’t think this is one of the best submission videos, but we literally just loved the video. Some big moves onto concrete.
We’ll close with this – another athlete who, in our opinion, shouldn’t have to make a video to be invited to compete. But we are glad he did.

So there you have it. Our top 10…. although it was actually 13. Sorry! We enjoyed so many of them. Do you agree with our list? If not, who did we miss? Let us know in the comments below.

*We think that if you win an AOM, you should get invited to compete in all future AOMs. Kind of like the Masters in golf.
