We recently uploaded a video to your YouTube, and it’s one you haaaaaave to watch. It’s a throwback with so, so much history, wisdom, and inspiration.
The video is called “Le Parkour de Nuit.” It stars Parkour founder David Belle, and it shows him leading a group of Traceurs through Lisses on a nighttime training session. They role on concrete, climb trees, descend an overpass, balance on bars, and so much more.
Things we love about the video:
- It stars David Belle and the video also has Sebastien Foucan. Two of the legends. This alone makes it a must watch in our opinion!
- It’s full of amazing training ideas because it shows how Traceurs used to train. Have you ever thought of walking with your arms extended? You’ll see what we mean. The things in this video are what Belle did in his training to reach his level.
- The video is full of history! It even shows Parkour spots in Lisses that have since been torn down.
- The video shows the quiet warrior spirit that is oftentimes forgotten in today’s contemporary Parkour culture where social media and “likes” dominate the landscape. If you can find this, then it’ll revolutionize your training and your approach to Parkour, which is why we love that it’s in the video.
- The music/soundtrack is pretty cool too. It’s not your typical sound for a Parkour video.
Basically everyone who was tracing before 2010, saw this video. It was one of the few videos online then. Trust us when we say, this video was inspirational back then, and it can still be now for those who understand what they are watching.
Watch the video below, and after you have, leave us a comment. We’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
